MY ART IN THE GALLERY ON THE HOE
In 2015 I was invited to have my art be on display in the Gallery on the Hoe. It was a beautiful little gallery situated along the sea front over looking Drakes island. I wasn’t in the gallery very long, deciding to withdraw a couple of months after joining to focus on life issues, but while my time in the gallery was brief, the experience will stay with me forever.
All the Artists in the Gallery exhibited their work in the Plymouth Hoe Art Fair, an event held every Sunny Summer Sunday along the Colonnade on the Hoe. While in the Gallery, I had three pieces of art on display by the front door. My Puddy Cat, Miranda Kerr and Cat drawings.
I paid the gallery a visit in 2016, while I attended Plymouth Pride, the Gallery was right next to the event and I got the urge to go say hello. It had been nearly 12 months since I left, but I received a really nice warm welcome. Sadly, found out that the gallery was to close later that month. I was so upset, it was a lovely little gallery, in such a nice location and everyone in there was so friendly. I am sure everyone will find new homes for their art.
This was a really inspiring and positive place to be. I’m so grateful to Dave Crocker for inviting me to join the gallery. I feel incredibly lucky to have had this opportunity. I will never ever forget my brief little spell in this gallery.
