I saw this image of Cheryl Cole on Google and instantly thought, I need to draw her! I always struggling with darks at the time, so that was the main reason why I picked this image. This was at the start of 2014, when I started to really push myself to take my tone darker. There was a point during this drawing where I just said to myself, sod this, it’s time you risk ruining the drawing … and with that, I picked up my 4B pencil and just went nuts with the darkness on her face :) I learnt a lot during this drawing, and I loved doing her outfit. I always used to hate doing clothes, but lately I’ve started forcing myself to pay more attention to them, and now I’m enjoying the challenge of drawing clothes.

Are you in touch with all of your darkest fantasies?
Have you created a life for yourself where you can experience them?
I have. I am fucking crazy.
But I am free.” – Lana Del Rey
