Ever since, I’ve been researching all I can about lucid dreaming and I’ve come up with a wacky idea that I believe is possible. I believe, you can become lucid in a dream, ask for a painting to manifest itself, than learn how to paint it during your dream, before painting it for real when you wake up.
Sounds mad, but there is evidence of this being possible.
I talk about my lucid dream, and how my experience was so joyful, it woke me up with a wet dream … eww … lol I also talk a bit about my early opinions on what is going on in the dream world, as well as how I think this all relates to art. Turns out, Lucid Dreaming isn’t something Magical either, it certainly feels like it is, but in fact, just like Art, it’s a Skill that can be practiced and Learnt by anyone.
Basically, YOU and I, can LEARN to CONTROL our DREAMS.

Inking, Sketching, Watercolouring and Digital Painting; I talk about all the tings I learnt from the Cats of June 30 Day Art Challenge. There was so much, like how Confidence really shows in your Lines when Inking, how Digital Painting leaves me Exhausted, and how Sketching is a great way to Study other Artists work. I recorded this one down Saltrum, the local woods, and not only were quite a few people were out walking their lil doggies which makes for some fun social moments, but I found a lil pebble which said “You Are Enough” … which is fitting for this episode, as I had all my camera settings wrong, so it’s not the prettiest episode to watch, but I hope you like it :)
This lil ones about the Lucid Dreaming Practice, some of the tings I’ve found helpful in becoming Lucid, and also, the struggles of dedicating to the Lucid Dreaming Practice, while still Producing and Studying Art. The Book Book is Journeys Out Of The Body, by Robert Monroe, the lil Art Tip is about the importance of Drawing What You Love and the Fascinating Fact is the Amount of Time we Spend Dreaming in a Lifetime. Hope you enjoy this one :)
Drawing Erasers are not just for erasing mistakes, they can be just as much a drawing tool as a pencil :) Join me for episode Four of the So Free Art Podcast, where I talk about my Best Drawing Erasers for Realistic Pencil Drawing. Including my favourite: Plastic Eraser, Kneaded Eraser, Battery Operated Eraser and the Tombow Mono Zero Eraser Pen :)
On this episode I talk about Thoughts … where do thoughts come from? How comes while I’m drawing thoughts sometimes try to put me off? How comes thoughts have the power to either negatively or positively impact reality? .., I have a theory that thoughts could be linked to the Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser Experiment, this one’s a bit bonkers :)
There was supposed to be a new YouTube video this week, but it never happened because I wanted things to be perfect … so instead of putting something out that wasn’t perfect, I put nothing out :( This week I talk about something I find really hard to do … putting out imperfect work. and how it’s better to put something out that’s good enough, than nothing at all.
It’s that time of year again … when the sun comes out to play, so do the drawing pencils :) It’s time to start sketching people in public, something I was terrified to do at first, but it’s one of the most fun ways to improve, and loosen up, both your drawing, and the mind :)
‘Take off your Hat and Talk about your Hair’ was this weeks random topic, selected by new employee Dennis the Doggy lol This was a scary episode, where I show my bald patches on camera and talk about my Hair Insecurities and Self Acceptance; I almost didn’t release this one, through Fear of what people may say, but as I talk about on the episode … the only way to deal with Insecurities is to start talking about them, which will hopefully lead to Self Acceptance. Hope you find this one interesting.
On this episode I talk about Self Doubt, and how I’m starting to realise, with the help of Lucid Dreaming and Automatic Writing, that Self Doubt is a fear that shouldn’t be something to run away from, but instead embraced, with the Loving arms of Action.
‘Read one of your Blog Posts – 30 in 30 Painting Challenge’ was this weeks random topic, and it ends up being a talk about how Fun, Freeing and Messy Painting Is, How Art Challenges help make you more adaptable, confident and less of a Perfectionist, and how Writing while doing an Art Challenge is a good way to learn more about your art and yourself. Hope you like this one :)
SVSLearn.com is the main topic for this weeks lil episode, as I talk about my experience studying with SVSLearn, the Society of Visual Storytelling. We also have the lil Art Tip, which is about creating Colour Palettes for Painting, the Book Book is Keys To Drawing by Bert Dodson, and the Fascinating Fact is about something called Distributed Practice, which drastically increases Knowledge Retention when learning. I also tell a lil story at the end about a Meditation that resulted in an Orgasm. Hope you like this one :)
