This is a really tough topic for me, and it scares me a bit, because I have so much I want to share about my Transgender journey, about spiritual things like Lucid Dreaming and so many photos I want to add to the Transitioning section, but I can’t do everything.
We only have so much time, and time spent doing other things, is time not spent Focusing on One Passion.
Thing is, I know there’s a sweet spot, a place where I can focus on my Art, while still allowing myself to do the other things, just not feeling like I have to do all them to the same level of focus.
Enter lilSOPHIE, who I believe could be like a loophole that will allow me to focus on my Art, while finding balance by still being able to cover my Transgender tings and Spiritual stuff within her art.
lil ART TIP TIME
KEEP YOUR OLD DRAWINGS … There’s so many reasons why it’s worth hanging onto your old drawings:
They can act as inspiration and motivation in the future, Help Improve your Mindset while Drawing by showing that Your Mind Lies To You, and they even have this fun Nostalgic quality about them.
Keeping Your Old Drawings is something I highly recommend doing … especially the drawings you think are the worst :)
Hope you like this one. If you have any tips/ struggles about Focusing on One Passion, mindset while drawing, or if you have any questions/topics you’d like discussed in future episodes, please get in touch. This ‘About The Tings’ episode is about the Lucid Dreaming, and some of My Recent Lucid Dream Experiences. Including such Lucid Dreams as: The Shopping Trolley of Death, Whose in the Mirror?, G-Forces, Battlecat, Look into the Eyes, Dream Healing, and Get Me Out of Here! … I finish it all off talking about the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Hope you enjoy this one, Sweet Dreams :)
There was supposed to be a new YouTube video this week, but it never happened because I wanted things to be perfect … so instead of putting something out that wasn’t perfect, I put nothing out :( This week I talk about something I find really hard to do … putting out imperfect work. and how it’s better to put something out that’s good enough, than nothing at all.
This lil episode’s more like a therapy session about my struggles of finding balance between work and play. I talk about sacrificing Videogames, how the Discipline of saying no to chocolate bars is helping me say NO to bigger temptations, and how you need to work out what to stop completely vs cut down on; this ones all about Finding Balance … oh, and I also share another healing Lucid Dream I experienced during the week :)
This lil episode covers a lot of topics, but mainly it’s about my early experience of using Lucid Dreaming to help heal from Child Abuse … I also talk about Virtual Reality with PSVR, are Videogames bad for you?, a Reiki Healing ‘Healing crisis’, Following Your Bliss, Genital Reassignment Surgery and how I think from time to time we all have to stop and ask ourselves … What do I really want From Life?
This lil ones about the Lucid Dreaming Practice, some of the tings I’ve found helpful in becoming Lucid, and also, the struggles of dedicating to the Lucid Dreaming Practice, while still Producing and Studying Art. The Book Book is Journeys Out Of The Body, by Robert Monroe, the lil Art Tip is about the importance of Drawing What You Love and the Fascinating Fact is the Amount of Time we Spend Dreaming in a Lifetime. Hope you enjoy this one :)
This lil episode is all about copying other artists work, not the naughty kind of copying, but the drawing exercise that’s a fun way to play and learn at the same time :) We also have a new ‘lil art tips’ feature joining the podcast this week, woohoo lol
It’s that time of year again … when the sun comes out to play, so do the drawing pencils :) It’s time to start sketching people in public, something I was terrified to do at first, but it’s one of the most fun ways to improve, and loosen up, both your drawing, and the mind :)
From Arsonist to Artist, this one’s all about Change … ‘ Read one of your Blog Posts ‘ was this weeks lil topic, until I decided naa, can’t be bothered lol and pulled out another one … ‘ Talk About Change ‘ is what came up, and it ends up being a very random episode where I Break the Rules, Nearly Set Fire to lil Dennis and talk about how I used to be an Arsonist but changed into an Artist :) I discuss how Drawing is like life, in that it’s constantly changing, and share another Lucid Dream, and a bit about this odd experiment which will make you question reality. Hope you enjoy this explosive episode :)
This lil one is all about Inktober, and some of the tings I’ve learnt over the first 5 days. I talk about how Scary it can be to Commit to an Ink Line knowing you can’t Erase it, Some of my Smudging Struggles and how Pencil Drawing seems to be the most important Art skill. The lil Art Tip is how a scrap piece of paper can be used to help check your Proportions when Drawing, and I throw in a lil bit about Consciousness at the end, and how I think the future could be the past :)
On this episode I talk about Thoughts … where do thoughts come from? How comes while I’m drawing thoughts sometimes try to put me off? How comes thoughts have the power to either negatively or positively impact reality? .., I have a theory that thoughts could be linked to the Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser Experiment, this one’s a bit bonkers :)
