This weeks lil episode could be the last one before they put me in a Mental Asylum lol It starts out talking about Going Back to Basics with Art, before I bounce all over the place asking questions about Conflict like:
- What are we Doing here?
- Are Introverts Aliens?
- What is Rest?
- Is the Subconscious an External Source?
- Are some Thoughts other Peoples Feelings?
- What happens if a Positive and Negative Particle Combine?
I go all over the place really, and I didn’t know what to title this episode, but I thought Conflict was a good word to describe what I’m currently feeling. Even Inktober was a conflict, I enjoyed every second of it, yet was so happy for it to be over.
So I hope you enjoy this episode, which also talks about AI, Virtual Reality and Quantum Physics. I love talking about stuff like this, and I do think it’s art related, because Art is all about being Creative, and Creativity seems to be half of what reality is about, the other half being Destruction; Reality is, the Ultimate Conflict.
There’s also this weeks lil Art Tip which is :
lil ART TIP TIME
HOW TO GRID A DRAWING, WITHOUT GETTING LINES ON YOUR PAPER
Lee Hammond introduced me to gridding in her book, How To Draw Lifelike Portraits From photographs, but having lines left behind on my paper was something that frustrated me when I first started experimenting with it. I would draw the grid lines on the paper very lightly, but still be unable to fully remove them once I finished the Realistic Pencil Drawing.
It really bothered me, until I tried out a lightbox; it worked perfectly. This weeks lil ART TIP, is to use a lightbox to shine the grid lines through your paper, meaning you never actually draw any lines on your paper. The following blog post shows The Whole gridding process Step by Step, together with links to handy resources, but I highly recommend investing in a lil lightbox :)
At the end I talk about an Out of Body Experience I had last week, and how I think There is a Way to tell if you’re in a Lucid Dream or an Out of Body Experience. It also made me think about how all of these things, Lucid Dreaming etc, they all seem to require you to face fears before becoming available to you … why is that?
Hope you like this one :)

• What Happens when Positive and Negative Particles Combine – I asked this question on the podcast, and after reading this post, I’m still not 100% sure, but it seems they could either explode together or become something bigger. This following quote from the site sounds cool : “They are attracted to each other electromagnetically. If they are antiparticles, they will be annihilated when then meet, releasing a large amount of energy and other high speed particles if they were composite.”

On this episode I talk about Self Doubt, and how I’m starting to realise, with the help of Lucid Dreaming and Automatic Writing, that Self Doubt is a fear that shouldn’t be something to run away from, but instead embraced, with the Loving arms of Action.
In this lil episode I share some stories from my brief time throwing paint around, while trying Abstract Painting for the first time. As someone whose really only done pencil drawings before, this was a totally different experience … I found to be Fantastically Freeing, and Massively Messy :)
This lil episode comes to you live from the astral planes lol I talk about Out Of Body Experiences on this one, and a theory I have where I wonder if the Earth is a school for us babies, created by the creator, with the ultimate goal of growing new creators; are we destined to be a Creator … aka, a God? There’s also the lil art tip, which this week is about how a craft knife can be used to fix inking errors. Hope you like this one :)
This lil episode is all about copying other artists work, not the naughty kind of copying, but the drawing exercise that’s a fun way to play and learn at the same time :) We also have a new ‘lil art tips’ feature joining the podcast this week, woohoo lol
What are the Best Drawing Pencils for Gesture Drawing? Sketching? or Realistic Pencil Drawing? No idea lol but join me for episode Three of the So Free Art Podcast, to find what my personal favourite Drawing Pencils are, and why I prefer using Mechanical / Clutch pencils over traditional wooden pencils :)
This lil one’s all about Gesture Drawing; I talk about why it’s my most fun drawing exercise, how online resources QuickPoses.com and Croquis Cafe can help improve your Gesture Drawing skills, and there’s this weeks lil Art Tip, which is Gesture Drawing related. We also have a new feature this week in Book Book Time :) where I’ll be looking at a different book each episode, and this weeks Book Book changed my life, it’s Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How To Lose Your Mind And Create A New One, by Dr Joe Dispenza. Hope you like this one :)
This lil one is all about Inktober, and some of the tings I’ve learnt over the first 5 days. I talk about how Scary it can be to Commit to an Ink Line knowing you can’t Erase it, Some of my Smudging Struggles and how Pencil Drawing seems to be the most important Art skill. The lil Art Tip is how a scrap piece of paper can be used to help check your Proportions when Drawing, and I throw in a lil bit about Consciousness at the end, and how I think the future could be the past :)
On this episode I talk about Finding Focus … or at least I try to, it’s funny, this podcast is about focus, yet it’s the most unfocused one I’ve done yet lol Thoughts are everywhere, but hopefully you can find some bits of wisdom in here somewhere. I’m more talking to myself during this episode, about how I’m struggling to focus on my Art at the moment, ways I’m trying to create new habits and a little bit about discipline, plus there’s a bit of spirituality thrown in for good measure too; this is weird one :)
This lil episode is for us sleepyheads out there :) Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to sacrifice my sleep this week … not cool. It’s been interesting though, seeing how sleep is key to everything. This weeks lil Art Tip is more of a mental one, about how never to assume when learning anything to do with Art, and that’s pretty much it for this one. Hope you like it, I’m gonna to go sleep now :)
On this lil episode I talk about minimalism … how getting rid of all my tings and having more space, appears to bring with it a feeling of peace, and hopefully in time, an increase in balance and focus :)
