There’s also a new feature this week in Book Book Time :) where I look at a different book each episode, as well as the lil Art Tip, which this week is :
lil ART TIP TIME
USE THE BIGGEST PIECE OF PAPER YOU CAN FIND WHEN DOING GESTURE DRAWING
If you’re limited by the paper size, you end up holding back and not being able to really go for it, and Gesture Drawing is all about going for it. Feeling the Pose, and Throwing Long, Sexy, Confident Lines all over the Paper … so it’s best to use the biggest sheet of paper you can find :)
Here’s an extra teeny weeny lil ART TIP … it’s more of a challenge really, but
TRY STARTING A GESTURE DRAWING WHERE YOU FEEL THE MOST FEELING, NOT NECESSARILY WITH THE HEAD
A lot of people say start with the head, but I’ve found my Gestures feel more Energetic when I start where I feel the most feeling. That feeling place is where I’m most Excited, and that initial Excitement seems to Flow throughout the rest of the Gesture when I start with it.
New feature Alert!
It’s BOOK BOOK Time :) Each week I’ll be talking about a book I’ve either read in the past, currently reading, or want to read in the future. Art books, Spiritual books, Story books, Kids books? … I’m not fussy, if it’s a good book I’ll talk about it :)
BOOK BOOK 1 goes to – Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How To Lose Your Mind And Create A New One, by Dr Joe Dispenza
This book changed my life, I haven’t read it in over five years, but the stuff I learnt in this one really did stay with me. Like Art, this book makes you see the world totally differently, and I have a feeling it could end up being the most important book you ever read; Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, by Dr Joe Dispenza, had to be my first BOOK BOOK :)

” GESTURE DRAWING IS ALL ABOUT FEELING. “
– Sophie Lawson
This one’s about the Lucid Dreaming, and some of my recent Lucid Dream Experiences. Including: a Self Aware Taxi Driver who drove me into a Previous Dream, moving stone blocks with my Mind, becoming a Ghost in another Reality, getting Distracted by Naked Breasts, and a house I couldn’t Escape from, resulting in a string of False Awakenings … there’s even a lil story about a Purring cat who was sat on my bed. Hope you enjoy this one, Sweet Dreams :)
A few days ago I had my first Lucid Dream … since than, my mind’s gone deep into the Lucid Dreaming Rabbit Hole. I’ve started asking myself: Is it possible to Manifest a Painting while Dreaming, than create it for real when you Wake up? Sounds Bonkers, but turns out there’s proof it can be done :)
In this lil episode we take a peek inside the how to draw book, Keys to Drawing with Imagination, by Bert Dodson; an incredibly fun book, packed with tons of: sketches, exercises and wise words from the master that is, Bert Dodson :)
‘Read One of your Laurels Gender Identity Clinic Visit Diary Entries’ was this weeks lil topic, and it turns into a discussion about Dealing with Deep Mental Issues, Social Anxiety, Ancient Civilisations, Do we have Multiple Spirits inside of us?, Are Animals Transgender? … this one goes all over the place, and me camera conks out half way, so there’s even some close up footage of the Moon if you watch the video version. Hope you like it :)
Death. On this one I talk about Why I think it’s good to think about Death from Time to Time, How it can Help You Appreciate People in your Life More, How it can Help You Face Fears, Achieve Goals and Lead to you becoming a Better Artist and Human Being. I also ask, Are we Dead already?, What Happens during the Death Process? and Are Dreams Linked to the Death Realm? Hope you like this one :)
‘What are you currently Struggling with?’, is this weeks random topic … and it ends up being an episode about the Struggles of trying to Curate and Focus an Instagram feed: How do you decide what to focus on, when multiple Passions seem right? Do you even need to curate an Instagram Feed? Why is Focus so bleeding hard? lol This one’s a bit like being a pinball bouncing around inside my brain as I try to work out what to do. Hope you like this one :)
This one’s a lil bit different and more about the tings, as I share a Holotropic Breathwork experience, which leads into: Ancient Civilisations, Aliens, Time Travel and Remote Viewing the War in Heaven … fascinating stuff. I highly recommend trying out Holotropic Breathwork for yourself. The Fascinating Fact is related, as it’s to do with Breathing, the lil Art Tip is all about the colour of your art tools and the Book Book is one of my favourites, Sophie’s World. As always, hope you like this one :)
This lil episode comes to you live from the astral planes lol I talk about Out Of Body Experiences on this one, and a theory I have where I wonder if the Earth is a school for us babies, created by the creator, with the ultimate goal of growing new creators; are we destined to be a Creator … aka, a God? There’s also the lil art tip, which this week is about how a craft knife can be used to fix inking errors. Hope you like this one :)
On this lil episode, I start by sharing an embarrassing story, before jumping into the main topic of the drawing exercise Automatic Drawing. I also revisit a book I read in 2017 called Feel The Fear and Do It Away, by Susan Jeffers, talk about the subconscious and how 95% of the time we don’t even know we’re doing, and finally … the lil art tip looks at the benefits of taking a break :) Hope you like this one.
In this weeks lil episode, I ask the question, Are Videogames Bad For You? You can replace Videogames with any hobby really, as I think it all comes down to finding balance and your beliefs. There’s also the lil Art Tip, which is about Taking Your Time when Drawing Realistic Hair, and there’s a slice of Lucid Dreaming talk too: False Awakenings and how Lucid Dreaming is improving my Waking Life. Hope you like it :)
